Neighborhood: Malá Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

It is truly a hidden gem of a place with both beautifully landscaped and terraced gardens and a beautiful view of the city. There is an admission fee but, all in all, it was well worth it. You get an incredible panoramic view of Prague from the top. We took so many beautiful photos, smelled the most fragrant roses I've ever encountered, and watched beautiful birds. We stayed for more than an hour. It cost 240 CZK for us to get in and it was worth every cent.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 30, 2023

St. Nicholas Church in the middle of the photo. Prague Castle can barely be seen in the upper left corner. Probably the best view of Prague, from probably the least known photo spot. (You have to have seen it online and searched for it. It is not in city tours, and it is not even marked at the entrance on the street - looks like a private driveway to someone's house. I think this garden could use a bit more attention and the woman on the cash desk was a little curt. Nevertheless, it’s cheap and worth a visit, because the garden is stunning

The Baroque design of the small terraced garden is interesting but the landscaping seems neglected, or maybe it was being redone. The plants were pretty sparse and unlike in freely accessible city parks (e.g., the spectacular Rieger Gardens at Vinohrady) none were in bloom. It wasn't worth the US $10 or so they charge per person.

A beautiful garden hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the street. We really enjoyed this peaceful and pretty place and were able to get some great views over the city and castle.

We went a few minute before they opened and were the only ones there. We had the garden all to ourselves for about 30 minutes. My only complaint is that they had the gardener trimming the bushes during our visit. Couldn’t they have done this maintenance before 10AM? Who wants to be in a beautiful garden with the sound of hedge trimmers and leaf blowers? Poor management, hence the 4 star review. Avoid a hot day here… you will not enjoy it. This place can be hard to find as it is not at the edge of the street. You need to go through a garage arch until you see the entrance to it. The garden is not visible from the street.

Quite a small garden with multiple terraces and baroque architecture providing stunning backdrops to your photos. Out of the six gardens surrounding the castle and located on the Lesser side in Prague that we have visited, this one was also the most expensive one to visit - 120 crowns per person. Not crowded, June was a lovely month to visit.

Yes, there is an entrance fee, unless you are staying in the beautiful hotel Aria.
The fee is less than 100 czk, around 60czk.
We enjoyed the garden many times free of charge while staying in the hotel. The garden and the views overlooking the roofs of Prague are beautiful and worth the visit, even if you have to pay the small fee ....
Have a great time in Prague:)

The garden is opened until October 31st, then it will be closed for winter season and it opens again in on April 1st. I am sure that it is worth to be seen even by the end of October. The trees will be colorful and there are wonderful views from the garden. Be prepared to walk some steps up.
