When we learned from our excellent guide Jonas of Wittmann tours that this synagogue was built by Mordecai Maisel just for his own family to pray, you realize the wealth of this famous man. It is now part of the Prague Jewish Museum and has...More

This rather small synagogue contains many interting iytems in their displays of the history of the Jewish life in Prague. Many are in English which makes it more enjoyable. It is quite beautiful inside and worth the time it takes to really look around.

This was a private place of worship for the Maisel family in the 16th century ... Maisel was the personal financier for the Habsburg rulers. That was "the Golden Age" for Prague's Jews. Very interesting historical exhibits. A lot to absorb.

Old synagogue from the 1500s, though its current form dates back to the late 1800s. It houses an interesting exhibit about Jews in the Bohemian Lands in the 10th-18th Century. I particularly liked a video showing the detail of a 3D rendition of old Prague.
