I enjoyed visiting this part of the Prague Castle District the most. Most of the other places up there are the history whereas this is a museum. It's huge, lots of information and signage in English, captures all sort of things associated with the castle...More

A great collection of historical artifacts, documents, reproductions of valuables, models and information to provide perspective on the history of the castle and its area.

The exhibition is set in the cellars of the Old Royal Palace and shows using models and artefacts the development of the Castle over the last thousand years from when it was first fortified in 11th century by Sobeslav I. The exhibition also contains a...More

This is a nicely done history lesson with lots of artifacts to see. Lots of information to read in English on the history of the Castle both architectural and political. There is a lot here to take in during a short visit. It may be...More

This was the best part of the castle tour, by far! It would be easy to skip, but don't, since you will get way more information about the property than any other part of the tour. The artifacts are impressive!

Your ticket will include the entry to the exhibition too. I would recommend that you do not miss it. Usually groups with tourist guides tend to give this part a skip as they feel the guide would have briefed them about the history. I do...More

The Story of Prague Castle displays a wealth of historical information connected with previous rulers and the people found in the Prague Castle site. The display lined the Gothic floor in the Old Royal Palace inside the Prague Castle complex. There are so much artifacts...More

I thought I'd make a quick trip through this exhibit since it was included with my ticket. Since there are several centuries of history and artifacts in this vast exhibit that runs beneath the entire castle, a quick visit isn't possible. There's so much to...More

Hands down, The Story of Prague Castle the BEST part of the castle complex. This is an indoor, underground museum which houses tons of terrific artifacts from prehistory through current times – incl Wenceslas’ chain mail and helmet. Tons of furniture, art, photos, very logically...More

gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.

There is a lot to see and it depends upon your interest. Tow hours would probably be a better amount of time than one hour.
