I really don't understand why some places post signs about no pictures allowed. Heck in this church you can't even get past the first 15 feet as you enter the church as they have it all fenced off. Too bad! Such a beautiful place.

Not much to see as you are not allowed in the library rooms, the rooms did look beautiful. Many books looked fake. Just took a few minutes to see.

I personally would avoid this! I was excited about the beautiful library, which yes are beautiful, however you cannot walk into them you can only see them from a door frame. Also, you have to pay an additional fee to be able to take a...More

You can visit two sections of this wonderful Monastery: the library and the gallery, each of which has their own ticket and ticket office. The gorgeous library is a must-visit. If you want to take photos, they charge additional fee for the camera. The gallery...More

The beers were a well deserved treat after climbing all those stairs to the top, we even enjoyed the GREEN Easter beer. Very cozy inside and a breathtaking view of Prague outside.

Climbed up Petrin hill to get there. Stunningly beautiful, with an outdoor restaurant with incredible views (although the bees were a little more friendly than I like). There is an art gallery filled with 14th, 15th and 16th century works. There library is also as...More

Very disappointing, you can have a peek into 2 rooms filled with books, but cannot enter them. Expected much more of this. Ofcourse the 2 halls with books are nice and one doesn't see this often, but it will take less than 5 minutes to...More

This place can definitely be recommended if you're into good beers, but it's a really good idea to book an outside table in advance, because the place gets really busy in the afternoon. You don't want to end up sitting inside, which is really really...More

After a quite tiring trek you arrive to Strahov , get your ticket and realize that you can only look at those ,admittedly, spectacular libraries from outside the door. If you want to actually get in you have to book ahead at the cost of 400...More

You pay 120czk/person + 50czk to take pictures... AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GO INTO THE ROOM! Total price gouging and a disappointment. The library is obviously beautiful, but a little hard to appreciate simply craning your neck through a doorway. In addition, the collection of...More

You can see the library rooms themselves and their splendidly decorated ceilings from the corridors. I'm not sure a private tour would actually add much, apart from getting nearer to the books themselves. You can get a... More
