From the Charles Bridge a relatively easy climb. A great view over Prague to see the Prague castle and the Prague Eifeltower from the mountain side. We had a drink and enjoyed the Klášter beer.

While the library itself is nice to look at, the price you have to pay is horrendous - 120CZK for two rooms which you are not allowed to enter (unless you book a tour in advance). Taking pictures is an extra 50CZK and being allowed...More

I was underwhelmed by this experience because you aren’t actually allowed to go into the room with books (the philosophical hall) if you enter without a pre-booked guided tour. Additionally, you have to pay extra to take pictures (50 CZK). They had a nice little...More

In a few decades the monastery will be 1000 years old. For me the most interesting part of the monastery is the library. With at least one Bible over a 1000 years old, it has a long history and great tradition. The library has over...More

By paying an entrance fee, you get to see a cabinet of curiosities and a wonderful library! You need to pay an additional fee to take photographs though. Unless you take the guided tour, you won't be able to go inside the library.

A must-visit site in Prague comprising the monastery, chapel and library. There's also a brewey but we didnt get a chance to see it. Located atop a hill with a good view of the city. Modest entrance fee to see the interiors. The highlight of...More

I had read a few reviews about this Monastery and specifically the library- they were all true! The library is breath taking! There is an optional tour (for more money) that lets you walk inside the library, but I opted for the cheaper viewing from...More

Nice monastery, they have a collection of very old books and also a brewery that has a fantastic beer and even better food. You can order a kind of beer degustation here, which is supertasty.

We wanted to visit the theological and philosophical halls and duly paid our 120k to a grumpy man in the ticket booth. Imagine our surprise when we found the halls to be roped off and inaccessible. The "curiosities" collection had no information about the items...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if

streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.

You can see the library rooms themselves and their splendidly decorated ceilings from the corridors. I'm not sure a private tour would actually add much, apart from getting nearer to the books themselves. You can get a... More
