Very interesting history. Where the people began to rebel against communism by shaking keys. The free guide tour from the old town square told us all about it. Fascinating. The museum was closed when we were there.

The Hotel Wenceslas Square is just off the main Wenceslas Square and although the front faces a busy road, we were staying in a room at the rear of the hotel and so did not hear the traffic. This charming hotel was delightful and the...More

Great selection of shops and some really great prices. Turn right at the bottom for more! Easily accessible from Muzeum on the Metro.

I learned about the importance of this square through my Rick Steves guidebook. This was the place where the massive anti-communist student revolution happened in 1989, leading to the fall of communism in Czek only a few months later. Fantastic history. The square has also...More

How can you not visit the square and in particular the statue of good King Wenceslas from the Christmas Carol? Read up his history first. It actually happened as a Bohemian Duke Vaclav. Fascinating, but the square is really vey plain without the provenance.

The general area around this square is quite a nice part of Prague. There are bars and restaurants, and it is quite lively.

Parts of the Square are under renovation, but some of the buildings are starting to look tired. Having said that, there are also some fantastic buildings along the main avenue, with the showpiece of the Wenceslas Monument and National Theatre at the top of the...More

This is right in the center of town and is a long, wide square reminiscent of Paris. Lots of shopping, restaurants and people watching. It goes up a hill somewhat so be prepared for a bit of a walk....but well worth it.

Visited this square & were not very impressed. Lots of construction & not much to view. Enjoyed the historical significance - but not sure it rates a visit.

Prague was lovely. However, I heard so much hype about it that I expected something more amazing then ever experienced. People were nice, but not overly. The historical sites were wonderful as expected. I’m glad I went but would not consider returning. Does not compare...More

To be honest I wouldn't know. But given the historical relevance of Wenceslas Square I would doubt it!
