Nice place and educated- we learn a lot about the place and its past- find out, at last, the reason for the funny ceramic pots in all the souvenir shops in the city

I liked the music and spoken text that you heard as you walked through the exhibition. There were lots of interactive elements and screens with quizzes about the history of the city. The first part showed history of Karlovy Vary and spa treatment and the second part was about nature and how people lived in this area.

On the ground floor there was a small café and seasonal exhibition of costumes of stars of interwar Czech film. The entrance was free, because after a state of emergency, free museums in many towns were part of resumption of tourism.

On a scorchingly hot afternoon, we decided to check this out mostly due to the waves of cold airconditioned air floating out of the open door when we walked by; and we are glad we did! We got a nice chill for the couple of hours we spent, and it was surprisingly interesting. The museum is logically laid out and organized, with an interesting history of the town and the area illustrated by very low tech techniques which was a bit refreshing. The guides were available to answer questions and were very helpful. We liked all the cultural accoutrements as well. This was a few hours very well spent. Thank you.

This museum is amazing. It has 2 floors. 1st floor is dedicated to the history of city Karlovy Vary and the 2nd floor is about the history and nature of the Karlovarsky region. Both exhibitions are great. There are many interactive screens (in English and in Czech language) There are objects you can touch. It is really an interactive museum that kept us entertained for a long time - we've spent there more than 3 hours. It is a great place to visit (even for children). I would definitely visit this museum again.

Karlovy Vary is well worth a visit if wanting to see a little more of the Czech Republic. However, we were only able to spend a weekend there, so were not able to visit the museum.

If you enjoy reading and learning about new places, this museum does a great job. Has lots of local and regional information and artifacts and works up to more contemporary things. Staff were friendly and helpful if I had any questions.

Nice set of well described items. It's mainly a museum of the town, showing its geology, nature and history. If someone is interested in Karlovy Vary itself (and read some history of it beforehand), it can be very interesting. I, however, warn you that all text is only in Czech.
