Singing fountain, great variety of market stalls, made this a colourful visit. Fountain was a bit cheesey.

This is apparently where it all starts as you begin the journey to taste and feel the healing of the thermal springs. I am not sure about all of that, but I did drink out of the dozen or so hot springs I could find. Some must have been hidden and two (#14 and #16) are just outside of town. However, this is the first one and is situated across form the Church of Mary Magdalene. I understand that several of the hotels have water lines connected to this one. I know the Carlsbad Plaza Hotel does. At the end of the day whether or not this whole concept of healing waters is a gimmick is unknown to me. I will say that a visit to Karlovy Vary is an absolute must. The springs, the food, the spas, and more importantly, the people are wonderful.

A great place to test the mineral waters of Karlovy Vary! And, just continue walking along the street to see beautiful architecture and interesting people.

Hot Spring Colonnade has been under reconstruction for several years, so the warmest spring in Karlovy Vary is not a long time inside of the colonnade (where originally was), but you can see it outside in front of the colonnade building. Inside of the colonnade you can find spring outputs, souvenir shops, café, you can take a tour to the Hot Spring underground.

Colonnade is the modern glass and reinforced concrete functionalist building. I liked the other colonnades more.

... travel during the corona-19 pandemic ... there are far too few toilets in the public space, the only toilet that is open to the public is not only more expensive than the tax ... but also dirty and unsanitary ....

The part of the building is construction place! The works have just started so I expect the place will not be worth of visit for next several months. This is not the issue only for this place - you can meet the same through the whole city. I only can recommend: Do not visit Carlsbad (karlovy Vary) at least this year!

I have no regret buying a water bottle before going to the town. Love the spring water, it gives you warmth when you are freezing in the open. You can definitely spend 2 3 days there relaxing, best place for couple, not children.

Horrible Soviet style building that ruins all impression from houses nearby. And funny hot water spring. You can drink mineral water here for free, different temperature, but be sure that you consult with doctor before drinking.
It's some kind of alkali water that may be either good or bad for you depending on your health condition.

Built in the1970s with a stern communist-concrete aesthetic, the Hot Spring Colonnade (Vridelni kolonada) is nevertheless a good place to begin your visit to the springs of Karlovy Vary. Inside, vendor stands sell the two main items you need to fully experience the scene: a spa cups, in my opinion are the most beautiful in the town, and some wafer cookies Oplatki. Unfortunately, inside the glass atrium, where a natural, steaming geyser should spurts 20 feet into the air was still under reconstruction when we were in September in the town.

Inside there are several sources with different temperatures and the hottest in the city at 72 degrees. Good to visit this colonnade in winter time or rainy days, this is a closed building on all sides. Outside colonnade there are wonderful souvenir shops, which also sell inexpensive Czech glass, like glasses, cups and also high-end shops with crystal, vases, chandeliers - the colonnade is located in the very center of the city. Enjoy you visit in beautiful city!
