A culinary gem that captures the essence of San Vicente as a tropical paradise involves waking up for breakfast for a bite of Palawan Lamayo.

Offering a breakfast experience like no other, this local delicacy embodies the flavors of the sea with a touch of Palawan's unique charm. The lamayo, thinly sliced and delicately marinated in a blend of local spices, boasts a texture that is both tender and succulent—a testament to the freshness of the catch.

Served alongside fragrant garlic rice and a medley of tropical fruits, each bite is a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate. The subtle sweetness of the fish harmonizes with the savory notes of the marinade, creating a culinary masterpiece that leaves you craving more.

But it's not just the taste that makes Palawan Lamayo for Breakfast a must-try—it's the experience itself. As you savor each morsel under the shade of swaying palms, surrounded by the natural beauty of Palawan, you can't help but feel a deep connection to the island and its vibrant culture.

Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor to Palawan, a breakfast of Palawan Lamayo is an unforgettable journey for the senses—a celebration of the island's rich flavors and warm hospitality. So, indulge in a taste of island bliss and let Palawan Lamayo whisk you away on a culinary adventure you'll cherish long after the last bite.

A great place to relax. The beach is wide, sandy and very long. There are only a few hotels along the beach, so it is very quiet and almost deserted. You can walk in peace or enjoy the beach. At the northern end there is a headland surrounded by rocks, I swam there several times with a mask on. It is not a coral reef, but you can admire underwater plants, various fish, crabs, snails the size of a human foot and much more. There are several villages and towns in the area with nice bars serving really good food. In my opinion, it's a paradise place, perfect for a quiet trip for people who don't like crowds and want to get away from people. The best way to get here is by car or scooter, but there is also a bus station in San Vincente, so you can also get there by bus. There is also a small port in San Vincente that offers trips to other islands, coral reefs, etc.

Long Beach in San Vicente, Palawan has been named as such because of the 14-km stretch of coastline where one can do about anything one hopes to accomplish on a relaxing vacation.

That is, only one's own choice of pictures to post on social media will remain the only intrusion one will ever encounter. No need to fear the noise and crowd that define the rest of the other beach destinations in the Philippines.

Indulge in swimming, sun-bathing, playing beach volleyball, jogging. Embark on a sunset cruise in the summer season or a sunset album for your instagram.

Definitely an amazing way to amass stories worth a lifetime.

We stayed in the Alimanguan area of Long Beach - the Northernmost section. This sleepy section had treacherous surf the two days we were there - huge waves crashing close to shore. The sandy beach was dangerously undercut and the slope into the ocean ripe for rip currents. I did not like one bit and left one day early. Not to mention lots of trash and too many dogs. Not recommended.

Long Beach in San Vicente Palawan is panoramic and pristine. It is a long stretch of nice water to swim and to surf. It has a few hostels in the other end called alimanguan. It a bit far from San Vicente town, but there are many e-trikes you can hire.

Arguably the best beach in the Philippines. This is one of my favorite beaches in the world. This 14-km beach is the longest white sand beach in the Philippines (thrice the size of Boracay). The beach is absolutely gorgeous and water is usually calm from the months of October to May. Sand in this beach is white and fine without any pebbles/rocks. Sunsets are also stunning this beach and I highly recommend to visit this place when in Palawan, Philippines.

The beach is virgin but all the properties have been purchased by prestigious hotels, big real estate developers, and etc. San Vicente has an international airport and flights will start on October 2018. Once the Government Regulations are finalized, all these establishments will start building a world-class paradise.

At the moment, there are a couple of nice hotels (Club Agutaya and Foxy's) in the area but there are numerous smaller hotels that can be booked as well depending on your budget.

This is really a good choice for those vacation where you want the peace and solitude. Not just a small stretch of beach, but 14 kms of it! Yes the reviews are correct, there are sand flies, some biting when you dip in the sea. BUT, there are the essentials: white sand, blue sea, sunset view, miles and miles of coconut trees. And the best part - few or almost no people in sight!
Tip: You just need to bring insect repellent, comfy and long outfit for ample coverage.

I got all the me time and privacy I want. I'm happy I found this gem before it gets overly developed like El Nido and Boracay.

We went to several spots and were virtually alone for miles and miles of sandy beach. The water was shallow and the surf child-friendly. The sand is very fine grained, almost silty, and in many spots almost free from rocks and dirt. It lends itself spectacularly well to sand sculpting and sandcastling.

We were bitten by some sand flies on our first visit while not wearing repellent.

A long arcing beach with headlands, unspoiled, wonderful for long walks. Sunsets were lovely. Water crystal clear. Beach sandy. Friendly people....as most are in the Philippines. Don't expect a holiday inn!

I know travellers write that it's undeveloped and nothing special - to me that was the best advantage of this place. I really wanted to find a beautiful beach with no people (something you see in the movies but usually beautiful beaches are full of people!). In rainy season there is no white sand obviously, later when it gets dry it's a real paradise with coconut palms and fishermen. I did not imagine such a place to be completely out of tourists. We drove our bikes like crazy there, walked and laughed, swam in the warm sea (yeah obviously you do get crabs and sea weed on the beach once in a while!). It's definitely worth going to when you want some peace and nice views.
