I would like to go back here a lot of times but the 5hr travel here is the only hindering me to come back several times a year. I may go back every year because of it. But this 5hr travel time and the hardship you will experience is worth it when you get to see the beauty of Sibang Cove. Its wonderful and beautiful.

Been to Calayan a few times for mission trips. As they say, Sibang Cove is a must. You really should go. Anyway, if you're looking for a more regular boat trip to Calayan, it's best to take a bus to Claveria, Cagayan. Claveria is the nearest point going Calayan. Take Florida Bus in Sampaloc Terminal going Junction Luna via Laoag. Tell the driver that you'll get off at Claveria, Cagayan. They'll drop you off in Claveria market. You can ask tricycle drivers to bring you to the 'dock' of boats that will leave for Calayan.

Just take note though, Calayan is not for the faint of heart. It's more of for adventurers than for mere tourists.

If you are on Calayan Island, Sibang Cove is a must. Just rent a motorcycle with a driver and go there. It's not far from the main village at Calayan. We were not there under the peak season so we were the only people on the beach. Weather was a little bit rough so it was not suitable for swimming. But it was a nice experience and as a photographer you can take many beautiful photos.

How about finding yourself swimming at a pristine island covered with fine white sand and encircled with breathtaking rock formation, isn't interesting?

I recently had a chance to join an extreme adventure to Calayan Island - one among the 5 forming the Babuyan Group of Islands. Located at the northernmost part of the Philippines and is currently considered to be part of the jurisdiction of Cagayan Province. The entire experience was like a roller coaster ride of fun and excitement; of thrill and astonishment for all the majestic views I personally have witnessed.

Within our trip, we visited various islands, shores, beaches, caves and falls. And one of which is the Sibang Cove which I shall say, is one of the best and an incomparable natural beauty i have been to. The pristine white sand embracing the waves of the crystal blue water of the sea while being encircled with majestic rock formation and luscious green mountain is truly majestic! I love Sibang Cove and i would definitely love to go back here.

Best timing to visit would be on Summer (April and May) as rainy season can give you so much chills from the big waves. You can get a boat ride in Aparri which only has 2 operations daily. Boat transfer can be canceled anytime without prior notice so better yet to double check weather forecast before traveling. Also, it is necessary to visit the municipal tourism office after disembarking from the boat. There are accredited tour guides locally whom you can coordinate with. Electricity supply is limited from 12noon to 12midnight hence it is necessary to ensure you are prepared. Signal is very intermittent and can only be useful for calls and texts.
