The road was terrible. 4,5 hours from LVIV by car! You can't see nothing special around the lake. We were in November. It was snowy. The path was very slippery. Nobody cares about it. And few tourists have fallen during a walk. It is difficult...More

A must go when visiting the Ukrainian Carpates. We went there while staying in Izki. Maybe the lake is even more beautiful when the water level is a bit higher. When walking around the lake there is a lot of opportunity to buy local (dried)...More

this lake is largest and deepest lake in Carpathian montains. there are many legends about love connected to this place. i would recommend take a walk around it as close to the water as possible, trying to feel the energy of the lake.

Road to lake very, very bad condition. Lake dirty, area been commercialised, very noisy, lots of people, wedding on people drunk, shouting and blasting car horns. Nature has been abused, such a shame.

It is such a romantic and beautiful place. I thought that it is a bit bigger. A nice surprise was to find a stream with spring water. A sad thing was to see so many street vendors selling all kinds of souvenirs, mushrooms, mountain teas and trying...More

Highest elevation lake in Carpathian mountains. Air here is breathtakingly clean and area is a hiker's paradise. Very decent restaurant adjacent to lake.

Once big and beautiful lake turned into a small pond (maybe due to the lack of precipitation this year). Mind the terrible road to this place: 40 km distance might take a couple of hours to make through.
