Ancient Church with lots of charm
This small acient old Church, the Monastery of Agios Georgios, is situated by Livadia Beach along Thasos Aliferis, the promenade along the beach. This is a delightful single storey stone building with a curved roof and its bell hangs from a pine tree close by the Church. When we visited here, on Tuesday 11th June, the Church was closed, however, we were so pleased that we stopped to spend a little time here.…
