While we visited on Sunday and it was therefore closed, in some ways the absence of people, the glowering clouds and the leaves falling from the Autumn trees made our visit even more memorable. Marshall Foch did his fallen countrymen proud with this impressive monument....More

Good view onto surrounding areas. A Battle Memorial. Very close to the castle. Sunset is probably the best time of the day to visit the memorial.

Beautiful building with its two chapels and separate ossuary building. Some interesting museum-style exhibits and lovely grounds. There is also a small gift shop. Conveniently close to the Leclerc supermarket.

This is a beautiful peaceful monument built atop the hillside of the Dormans Chateau property. We went at about 10am and the view was incredible as was the stillness within this sacred space. There are explanations of the first and second battles that took place...More

If the weather is sunny, this is a nice place to visit. The memorial is very impressive and is surrounded by a nice park.

Our visit to the war memorial in Dormans was an absolute treat. Totally so much more than we expected. Would highly recommend a trip and for visitors to take their time to take everything in. Lovely little museum and it's so peaceful.

This stunning memorial is located up behind the very pretty Chateau. A walk through a shady forest brings you to this special place. Wonderful views across the valley and some explanation of the items of interest in the church, which are easy to follow.

A large war memorial in an area full of war memorials. This one has beautiful stained glass windows and a lovely chapel. We believe it is important to visit and remember what happened.
