Good and interesting museum though guide tends to misrepresent missiles that were located in silos. Hard to reach on your own, best option is to book trip through one of agencies that offer complete package (car, driver, contact with museum guide....).

I already vsited a missile base in the US, but this one was a rather special one: as someone living close to the NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Soviet ICBMs were part of my childhood nightmares. This is probably one of the most informative tours I...More

Three of us drove from Kyiv to this site, about a 2.5 hr drive each way on a road that is not the best. Nobody appears to know about this place. It is a functioning museum with the soldiers who once manned the nuclear sites...More

It is fascinating and bit scary to hear about power, that once dwelled underground. In museum, you are able to meet veterans, that served in missile regiment, but you will need russian or ukrainian to talk to them, only guide knows english.

Back in the Soviet days, the site never officially existed as it was top secret. Today, the chance to wander around brings the Cold War back to life and gives you some sense of the importance of 'never again' when it comes to the use...More

A long day trip, 3 hours south of Kiev or the same to the north of Odessa or 6 hours round trip plus time at the museum. $250 is pricey for a solo traveler but the price is per vehicle so 3-4 can tour for...More

As a day trip from Kiev (4 hours each way) I did wonder if this would take the enjoyment out of the visit but to be honest didn't detract. Don't go unless you descend down into the Command centre itself and would would say with...More

Our travel company, JC Travel, arranged for us to tour this missile site on our way from Odessa to Kiev. A very good English-speaking guide, Lena, met us there and gave us a private 2 hour tour. I'm still amazed at the whole experience! Lena...More

Hello ! I am not sure, but I don't think so. You have to go there by yourself and take a museum guide.
