    Enjoyable!
The trail experience was good overall. The view was stunning but I was rather surprised that the trail wasn’t as long as I thought. I went there before 9am which was lucky because it started to get crowded and a queue was forming to go up a ladder midway as I was on my way back. I would say one part is slightly challenging but doable as long as you have the strength to pull yourself up the ladder while the water comes crashing down above your head. I brought my own dry bag and waterproof pouch for my phone which allows me to take some nice photos. The lockers in the visitor area is not available (according to the staff )so I left a bag behind the ticket counter which they allowed. There are only toilets and changing room available when I was there , I think the shower area is being locked up. My advice is to start early to avoid queues, I was done and back by 70 mins.

    Second best highlight of Jordan
An incredible day Canyoning and right up there with my previous Canyoning in the Blue Mountains. They are a bit disorganised at the start but once you start self guiding yourself in the adventure begins. A combination of wading, swimming, dragging yourself through the current by ropes, slithering up ladders and, on the return trip, sliding down rockfaces... it was amazing. We were in a largish group so be prepared to help each other as there were only two staff members actually inside the Canyon in tricky ascent/descent nooks. A reasonable level of fitness and upper body strength certainly helps, but if you are feeling adventurous and have support with you, this should be high on your bucket list. Waterproof grippy shoes are a must. Water was warm in April so we were mostly in normal swim gear. A must do while in Jordan.

    Highlight of Jordan
This was the highlight of Jordan for us. Nice to have some wateractivity amidst al the sand and heat. Make sure to be early because group tours go here. There are water and dry trails you can do here depending on the season. The shortest and most popular trail is the Siq trail which is like walking through the valley of Petra but with water and waterfalls. Upon arrrival you can hire watershoes and a drybag. There are seperate changingrooms heren. The lifevest is included in the price. You get to go through the canyon alone en there are guides along the route. If you want to advance to the furthest point where the waterfall is you need to be fit. Or have help. Some point are not easy to pass. Dont cary anything with you but put in the drybag as you will need your hands. A waterproof casing for your phone is nice to make video's. To get to the adventure center (which is the starting point) is easy via uber or taxi from Aqaba, Madaba or Amman. But getting back is harder. There is no cafe or restaurant here with wifi. So what we did was wait for a taxi to take us back. We were lucky and got one within 15 min. You can ask you taxi or uber to wait for you while you do the trail. The wait was definitly worth it!

    Great fun
Great fun and a challenge for us older persons. Very expensive to do the hike and the water sandles were horrible to wear. I suggest to bring your own or wear socks with them. Be warned the so called water proof bag was not so waterproof for me. Luckily my phone has limited water protection.

    An absolute thrill!
An absolute thrill. I wasn't sure at first, but no regrets. One of the highlights of my trip. So beautiful. Canyon a wadi makes you appreciate the power of water. You see 5 million years in front of you. The color and contours of the canyon. Stunning. The water is not cold. Fun to have at times the small fish nibble your toes. It's not a very physical experience. One suggestion, take your under water camera,.. You'll use it.

Want an expensive tourist trap…… JOD 22 per person to walk in a Wadi. They even charge you 5 JOD for renting a water bag. And then waiting in line to get in.

DONT GO. There are better places like Wadi Ghuweir in Jordan which are much better and free of charge.

A fun trail, first uphill through the water with some climbs, and then floating back downstream (that was the most fun!) Quite expensive compared to other Jordan activities, and we had to wait an hour to get in.

Warning!
Extremely unfriendly and arrogant staff.
We were really looking forward to the Hike. We were ahead of time and were simply ignored.
The next person tried to charge us way too high prices with extra stuff, this was not from internet.
Don't fall for this.
People who came back from the Hike also found it very disappointing..

Today They stole me 20 JD when paying. I did not notice the change was incorrect (the price was 55, I gave 100 and received only 25). Pls be careful paying cash. I don’t think it could be a simple mistake. It’s the oldest way to thief tourist. The experience is nice.

I was expecting something more adventurous. You walk upstream for about 30 minutes, using some small fixed ladders or ropes to help you over a few boulders in the way, to a waterfall at the end. Then you go back again.

Floating on your back, looking up through the levels of the siq walls to the sky above was great but water levels in June 2023 were such that you can only do that for about a third of the way back and constantly grounding yourself in the shallows.

It was very tame stuff; lots of other tourists; staff were not particularly friendly or helpful (and as others have said the JD10 cash-only hire of a dry bag (dry-ish - it leaked very slightly and I'm glad my phone etc were in their own plastic bag inside) is a total rip-off); RSCN told me it was closed and I just happened to be driving by and saw it was open.

Overall, I'm glad I did it - the siq is beautiful and no doubt the other trails are more interesting. But head to other wild wadis for a better experience.
