The Orpheum is the best cinema in Sydney. It has an incredible selection of classic movies shown on an almost weekly basis and many famous artists have attended the venue. The place has maintained its classic look which cinemas rarely do. It's worth a trip...More

We enjoyed a blockbuster in the main movie theatre. But this was a very special experience, from its beautifully preserved Art Deco interior (and exterior) to the advantage of the size of the screen and it even has traditional “pop up” live organ performance ahead...More

It’s not just the beautiful Art Deco setting - what sets this place apart are the independent and foreign films that are shown. We love this place!!

Great old style theatre. Multiple small theatres. Good variety of foods e.g.. chocolates, lollies, ice creams, drinks including alcohol. Has been around for years. Good old fashion atmosphere.

It's simple....if you're in the area, check the Orpheum out. What a beautiful theatre. Everything about it is just magnificent. A great restoration. Well done guys.

This cinema isn't part of a chain. I hear they bought up all the old fixtures and fitting from Art Deco Cinemas that were being modernised or demolished. There are several cinemas and each one is different. the whole building - foyer, toilets bar etc...More

I had seen the lovely Art Deco exterior from the street many times but until I went in I had no idea as to the extent of the renovations and the general high level of upkeep. I don't think it's exaggerating to say the interior...More

Always a treat to go to the Orpheum , which started on this site in 1935 . It has been lovingly retired to its former glory and is like stepping back in time . We go there regularly for their National Theatre Live broadcasts where...More

I have always loved this busy Art Deco style cinema, the variety of movies on offer and listening to the mighty Wurlitzer organ being played in the main cinema prior to the commencement of a movie.
