Stayed only a few nights at Leaning Marri campground, which is right at the end of Ritter Road at the entrance to Yeagarup Dunes. While the flies (during the morning and evening) were a bit anti-social, the campground was tranquil and seemed well looked after....More

Gorgeous, soft (very soft) white sand dunes. Their leading edge is slowly swallowing up the trees, and will (eventually) fill in Yeagarup lake, I suspect. In the meanwhile, the views from the dunes to the sea are great, and it's a fascinating place to drive....More

We took the half day tour with the Beach and Forest Adventure and it was spectacular. Driving through a forest of old growth trees with an understorey of wildflowers before coming across the amazing Yeagarup dunes. Then on through heathland before dropping down on to...More

Great family day out with good tracks running through the forest and over the dunes, through to the Warren River mouth on the beach.

The Yeagarup Dunes is a massive land-locked mobile dune system that is also apparently slowly moving inland. The Dunes stretches 7 by 3 km, and at the top-point where we drove to, we had a commanding view all around the region. The sand there are...More

If you have a 4wd, do yourself a favour and drive up in to the dunes. The entry hill is the hardest. Set your tyre pressures to 15psi and give it heaps of gas at the bottom and you should make it up no problems.

Cannot make it to the Sahara, try this instead, the entry climb is almost vertical and you will need to lower the 4x4s tyres, if you make it up, the rest is easy unless you try Callcup hill, many don't make it as the sand is...More

Absolutely need a reliable sound 4 wheel drive with experienced and responsible drivers. Not for the unprepared faint hearted. Some dunes at approximately 50 meters high. Observe direction, stay within the post and behave responsibly is the key. Quite an experience indeed.
