We went twice, once at night, when there was a special light display for every soldier killed in action during world war I, and during the day. It made one think of the great sacrifice this country made for freedom.

This is a must see. Well presented, we all were very impressed. The views of the Albany area are a bonus as well. We were lucky to see it at night, well worth the trip.

A must see if visiting Albany... not only for the history but for the views. The steps provide rest points to read the plaques on the way upto the monument. There is a road access for people who can't walk the steps. Greeted by magpies...More

Alongside the Anzac memorial, the desert mounted corps memorial, is also important To the history of Australia. Besides the Monument itself, there’s a great lookout point with a spectacular view and wheelchair/stroller access as well

This is a great memorial located on a hill in Albany with great views over the harbour and King George Sound. The history can almost be felt and the memorial is visually stunning. Well done Albany.
