There is so much history in Albany and we tend to forget... The climb to the "top" is well worth it for the views and opportunity to reflect. Fantastic walkways and Memorial!

We accessed the lookout by the easy route, from the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial via the walkway. Great location for spectacular views over the City and surrounds and out to sea. The lookout marks the spot where Padre White led a pilgrimage in 1930 and...More

You can see why this was chosen as the site for first the dawn service, giving a panoramic view over the bay where the first WWI AIF and NZEF fleet departed.

Amazing views of the town and harbour. It is worth walking the granite trail from here to get an amazing panoramic view of the area. The walk is quite short and level so not too strenuous.

Stunning spot for a memorial, amazing views, poignant location. I was very glad to learn about the origin of the Dawn Service at the place that it first happened.

This must be the best lookout in Albany! Its a short drive up Mt Clarence before you reach a carpark. After which, its a short walk upslope (easy walk!), with many signboards of stories that you can read about the early war along the way....More

The site of the first Anzac Day Dawn Service is humbling to visit and offers spectacular vistas of Princess Royal Harbour and King George Sound. Walkways are safe and well maintained, and the perfect spot to watch a sunrise or sunset in our gorgeous city....More
