It is a popular beach as there is not much else west of melbourne so close to the CBD.The sand is relatively clean and the beach relatively safe. On a hot sunny day parking can be limited.

It was a great day for a walk along the beach. A light breeze from the sea, few people about, although there were dog walkers and cyclists nearby. Plenty of clean yellow sand. Summer cannot be far off.

Beautiful beach and easy to get to. Two playgrounds nearby and a few eating options if you don’t bring your own picnic. Gets busy on summers days but probably still more pleasant than the beaches closer to the city like St Kilda

This beach is relatively unknown compared to those on the East side of the Bay. It has a wide expanse of clean sand, is protected at each end by breakwaters, has toilets and showers at each end, and quite a few food sources nearby.

nice length of beach with a nice wide walkway to accommodate all beachgoers. Plenty of parking and little food outlets along the foreshore. Parks are opposite the beach to picnic if sand is not your thing.

A great area to enjoy the sea breeze (or stiff wind) sandy shore and water views. Walk further along the rocky coastline to grassy areas, children's playgrounds, public toilets and places to watch the water birds. Lots of people exercising their dogs.

If you drive from Ferguson Street via Douglas Parade under the West Gate Bridge and continue it will be about 6.5 to 7.0 Kilometers depending on where in Yarravile you intend to go.
