Love the temperature in Mooloolaba - 20 degrees higher than NZ at the moment. Good place for a beach holiday for the family (as long as everyone likes beach holidays as the shopping is limited - that said Brisbane is only 75-90 minutes away and...More

Mooloolaba is a great beach for the family, good facilities, close to Brissy, life guards and places to eat. Much fewer snobs in active-wear driving Land Rover Discoverys and yapping on their mobile phones about real estate prices in Melbourne or Sydney that seems to...More

Lovely beach for the whole family. Patrolled and nice waves. Surf club only 10 metres from the sand and surf.

this is e great beach for the family as it is patrolled by surf lifesavers and has cafes and restaurants close by. It is a sheltered beach so very safe for children.

Most days, the waves are very well suited to body boarding. The waves rarely dump you. Surfing should be done further up the beach near Maroochydore. The shops and cafes along the beach are absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been holidaying in Mooloolaba for years and will...More

Great for families. Lots of options for beach, parkland and eating - far superior to Noosa for young families

Visited on Thursday 8th March. We took our visitors to this beach as it is one of the safest around. I always enjoy just sitting there and taking in the amazing view as well.

To walk, run or just laze around. The beach was clean and uncrowded. Plenty of room for everyone. Fishing enjoyable and relaxing. We didn’t catch anything though.

No you won't be able too bring your own barby. Best to have some kind soul go and claim a vacant one, if there is one, at around 3pm. You could also try the river front at Cotton Tree, there are a few more there. Or... More

Dogs are no longer allowed on the beach at all, even on leash, this has been a recent change by the local council. But the park along the beach and the walking track is on leash dog friendly and so are most of the cafes.
