Many old buildings have been preserved and many homes seem to be being restored . Mary Street is a beautiful main street with many quirks to hold your interest . History buffs will enjoy poking around this town .

Well staying up the road from Gympie never been there before headed into town for a look around 1st impressions ,,,, quite hilly so if you want to walk you better be up for a few hills , main street was one way so easy...More

What a lovely place to visit. Nice architecture and a great high street which is more than worth a stroll up. This quaint town off the Bruce Highway is a great place to see. Shame we couldn't have stayed longer, but a definite return visit...More

We like photographing birds that were peltiful- egret, plenty of ibis, swans, ducks of all sorts, hens-and reflections in water, it is also next to eh mining complex

Lovely space to take the kids. Bike paths for them to ride around on and lots of space to run around in. plenty of swings in the play grounds to burn there energy. Clean toilets.

The Gympie region holds a lot of hidden treasures from the architecture of the towns buildings to the Gold mining museum to the local wildlife. The murals of the war memorial and the thousands of cockatoos in the park behind it. Gympie is a mellow...More

Whether travelling North or South this is a great place to take a break although alternate Sundays are market day & very crowded. Loos available & nearby café at the museum serves up food/drinks if required
