Just a picture post card beach, with a great photo from the end of the pier looking back along the beach. Sand fine and clean, swim between the flags and take heed of the warnings about crocs, stingers, etc.

Enjoyed a full day here, swimming, sunbathing and a great lunch at Espresso & Co. Don't drive past on your way from Cairns heading north, stop and enjoy one of the best beaches in Queensland.

Nice beach but be warned there are signs stating dont swim as crocodiles are known to make their way into surf. There is a part of the beach which has nets and life guards and is up the northern end of palm cove.

Palm Cove has a lovely esplanade. I love the fact that you can sit under the shade of the trees and still be at the beach. Looking forward to going back to beautiful Palm Cove.

Definitely great little gem just north of cairns. Wonderful beach. Great selection of cafes, resteraunts and bars. Most accommodation has great easy access to the beach... definitely not too crowded or overly commercialised!

Kathleen, I think the response from Lou Charlie is perfect. The only thing I can add is don't be put off visiting Palm Cove because you can't swim in the ocean. It's a gorgeous spot with a variety of accommodation options... More
