It's got the lot for a full day at the coast.

Where do I start,
well nice sandy Beach, clean clear water, children's play ground, refreshments ie coffee shops and restaurants, public toilets and changing area.
Also Great views!
An anchored float/diving area.
All good really.

Puicturesque little village atmosphere, levely clkean beach with plenty of shopping and supermarkets, cafes & restaurants to please anyone and some good bars thrown in for good luck.

Great family option

Browns Bay is a fantastic urban beach on the North Shore. Great sand, a good playground, access to toilets, good food / coffee options and a spectacular view. Parking probably tricky on a busy day. Ideal for a sunny winter day when not too busy.

Nice little outer city bay

Stopped here for a breakfast at the Stoned Cow (great cafe). Was a bit of a short pit stop but the beach seemed very clean, pretty and the waters looked inviting for family trips. There’s apparently a nice walk to the next bay but we didn’t have time.
Bay sadly let down by a non-descript town which looked a bit tatty with un-interesting shops. We were hyped up on the reputation of Browns Bay being a bit up-market so thought there would be lots of boutique shops and interesting sole traders, there just wasn’t. Prefer Devonport even though the beach there isn’t as good.

Great Beach Vibe

Browns Bay is possibly one of the liveliest, friendliest & coolest beach communities on the Shore. The beach is safe to swim in & you'll find a host of quality cafes & restaurants just a few metres back from the shoreline.

Great beach but dont go to Waterworld. Staff are like criminals. You’ll be treated like a s**t. Otherwise beach is very peaceful good for a family outing

There are better beaches on the North Shore

Not very big beach, which gets rather busy. Great for small kids who want to play in the park area, but not really worth going to for a walk. Parking somewhat of a nightmare.

Great watching the sunrise on a winter morning up at the point between browns bay and torbay. Walk/run trade from bay to bay, some hills , good safe path, great views, beautiful beaches, great photos. Friendly people.

Rough sand

Nice beach, fairly quiet. Shops and restaurants near by. Sand is quite rough but you can sunbathe on the grass above the beach. Loos and changing rooms near by.
