Despite the new signposting in this otherwise amazing walk, we took a wrong turn, and we met many other lost people as well. The signposting is definitely needing to be upgraded. If you get badly lost, you might join the list of those who have...More

An understated part of the Red Centre. Certainly worth a visit, different to Uluru so it’s not seeing more of the same. As a ‘Younger ‘ Senior, I found the walk to the first lookout manageable, however it is stoney underfoot and I appreciated my...More

We walked to lookout 2 which took us around 3 hours return trip. Be careful of the loose rocks, easy to do an ankle on this walk and keep an eye out for the arrows, they are not very visible especially at the beginning of...More

There is at least a good breeze to keep you cool, being The Valley of the Winds. It is an enjoyable walk but loose stones so you need to watch your footing. Some steep inclines but nothing too radical. Definitely worth the effort!!

Make sure you go at sunrise, at least on the walk back the sun will not be in your face and the temperature isn’t as bad. When you get to the lookout 2, make time to set up your tripod and take photos of the...More

I would certainly recommend this hike when you visit Kata Tjuta. It is well sign posted to explain all the details you need to know about the length and difficulty. As you walk through the various parts of this trail, the scenery changes, and you...More

I did the hike this morning and I expected something much harder based on some of the reviews. I would classify it as a moderate hike, and I am in my 60's. If you don't do any hiking then it will probably be a challenge....More

Kata Tjuta is almost more beautiful than Uluru. The massive rocks just emerge from the red dirt and it is quite a wonderful sight. This walk can be a little challenging, so an early start is highly recommended.

We hiked the Valley of the Winds after seeing the sunrise at the Kata Tjuta Dune overlook spot, so we started the hike around 7:15 am. It was VERY windy in the first section, so it would be best to have hats that could be...More

We hiked the entire loop of Valley of the Winds after a quick walk in Walpa Gorge. In retrospect, we would have started earlier and hiked the Walpa Gorge last. The Gorge was filled early with tour groups and the Valley of the Winds got...More

We did an Aat tour. It was worth it for the knowledge of the tour guide. Makes the whole experience so much better. The weather will be very very hot in December so may be too hot to do a walk there. They cancel walk when... More

In mid-July, there were no flies at all. Although, it was very windy and cold.
