Nourlangie was pretty much the only major site open in Kakadu during the wet. And it is absolutely spectacular, with several sites of indigenous rock art. The path is not too difficult, and well signed. It takes a couple of hours, and the scenery is...More

This area is one of Kakadu’s oldest Aboriginal occupation sites open to the public, we encounter a few other people, but otherwise the place is our own. The art is well worth seeing.

Ample parking and toilet facilities. Take your own water to keep hydrated as you do the walking trails [generally easy to walk] and enjoy the aboriginal art and natural scenery. Lovely photo opportunities here as Kangaroo bounce all aroud you.

My family and I walked up the rock and were blown away with the majestic views of Kakadu plains and rock formations. So much beauty from one look out!

Apart from the breathtaking views from on top of the rocks ( not too hard to get there but definitely worth the effort)the beauty of the place was the quietness. Very few people around at any one time, so you feel you have the place...More

There are many very special places in Kakadu and Nourlangie is one of them. Rock paintings many thousands of years old, incredible vistas, well marked trails. It's a very special place that's worth at least one visit. Like just about everywhere in the top end,...More
