Definitely a must do travel destination. Such an ancient land loved and respected by the traditional owners and by Ryan our tour guide to Ubirr. Their passion for the country resonates through every cell of their body, so refreshing to see. My son Jesse was rather non committal about going on the tour, by the end of the day I... More

The highlight of my trip to Kakadu with my mum was definitely the boat trip and the walk to Ubirr with Ryan and Naville. We were there at the end of the wet season and went by boat through this magical area with trees reflecting in the water and pink waterlilies dotted all around. Naville was a fantastic guide, he... On 27 March 2017 I travelled on the Guluyambi Wet Season Tour and Cruise as part of an 14 day trip I organised to the Top End . The Guluyambi cruise was a most memorable experience made even more so by the experienced and pleasant mannered guides, Robert and Ryan. I was not able to get to the top of... More

The road to Ubirr gets flooded during the wet season, but this tour gets you there. You are the only people who get to see Ubirr at that time - no crowds, no noise. Our guide Ryan was knowledgeable, passionate, and obviously in love with the place. He even helped us get back in time for our scenic flight that... More

Highlight of my short kakadu wet season visit was the boat up Magela ck, bus to Ubirr and Ubirr walk. The scenery from the boat was unique, compelling and photographic. At Ubirr, which I have visited before, I was free to wander on my own and enjoy this stunning spiritual place without a person in sight. Ourvguides were funny and... More

When it's the rainy season the roads are under water and the rivers/streams become huge lakes and billabongs. What can you do? Take the wet season boat and vehicle trip to see wall paintings, nature and hike to Ulirri. It was fabulous! Robert was superb and taught us about indigenous peoples' ways and Ryan was a fantastic guide for the... More

We booked the combined cruise with Ubirr Rock and loved every moment. The roads being closed due to the rivers being up did not really efect this tour as the waterways were easily navigated by Richard and his mate. Lots of useful commentary and humour and an insight into another culture. Ryan provided the Ubirr rock art tour and could... More

We nearly didn't do this as we had ticked the 'Kakadu River Cruise' box in Cooinda. However, I am so glad we did do it and it is one of the most memorable moments from my whole trip to Kakadu. It's a very different looking river to the one you travel on in Cooinda, the Aboriginal guide we had was... More

Very interesting and an awesome local guide. Our guide had a lot of stories and we went to Arnhem land. We only saw one little croc but that didn't matter. Highlights were the guide, his stories (jokes) and showing some traditional skills. The Yellow Water cruise is in a different area so it's good if you can do both. If... More
