Good food. Excellent quality without frills. We had a bread platter with olives, salami and lovely olive oil. We shared a very English meat pie. Yum

An absolute gem! We stopped at Free House multiple times while in Nelson. The pub itself is interesting as it is a converted church, with a large outdoor space. Plenty of beer to choose from, and as it is a "free house" isn't bound to...More

This is a bar in the style that bars should be, not tied to any brewery so can sell whatever beers they want / can get their hands on with some interesting choices. While there were no children in the bar when we called in,...More

The Freehouse is unpretentious with a chill atmosphere in an old converted church serving a great, always rotating lineup, of craft beer. Stop in for a pint with a bite and chill!

Visited here for an evening meal. The menu was a traditional pub menu - the homemade pizza was excellent. All the other food ordered by our party was also delicious. Great range of craft beers on tap.
