Rabbit Island has no commercial entities. There is an wonderfully long beach and heaps of space behind the beach for BBQ's. Horses and riders are welcome at the eastern end of the beach. Beautiful summer or winter
It's only about 20 minutes away from Nelson, but it might as well be in the middle of nowhere. Several miles of empty beach, that I've never seen very crowded. It's great for a stroll or a relaxed swim.
