It was certainly laid out well, plenty of animal enclosures, areas to stop and picnic and an play area. Fairly cheap so a good way to spend a day if in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.
This zoo has an intimate atmosphere, and you get very close to the animals. Peacocks and goats are wandering around, and nosy monkeys try to snatch your camera if you lean towards their cages when you are taking pictures. Seems like the animals are thriving.
As cruel as it may be, looking at caged animals, I took the kids there a few days ago. One good thing was the half empty cages and all empty cages. The place looks like it's shutting down.
