We did a stroll to the Saturday market and found the usual local fruit and Vegetables.
I brought nice kitchen hand towels that button on to a door handle ,a nice lady was sitting making them on her stall .

I remember the pier when it was even longer and the railway tracks ran right out to the end, so I’m so glad that what is left was preserved. It’s great to see all the children fishing and having fun. A great Hervey Bay icon.

Lots of people on it and fishing which everyone was happy to talk to us especially when we wanted to know what fish they caught etc.

We enjoyed our long walk to the end of the very long pier & back. There are interesting information boards & great views across the area. Good fun watching the family groups happily fishing from the sides.
