Given that most of the other reviews are positive, I can only assume that we just got unlucky with a particularly awful day. But this trip was disgusting, and honestly just very poorly managed by the crew. There was basically no warning about how bad...More

Seriously a must do! This was my favourite trip so far I've done in New Zealand. Seeing Sperm Whales, dusky dolphins and loads of sea birds and marine life. It's absolutely incredible to see the whales and get close to them in their natural habitat....More

What an amazing trip. We sailed out for 6 miles to see if we could track any whales. We were blown away to have seen a sperm whale an hour into our 3 hour trip. Breathtaking. Majestic and beautiful. The scenery is stunning and unspoilt....More

They seemed to care more about getting people on the boat, than the amount of space on the outside of the boat. There wasn't really enough space on the outside of the boat to move around. When a whale was spotted, there a bit more...More

Ask Kaikoura Whale Watchers- they are a very well organised company, with very friendly and professional staff. If travel and / or sea sickness are issues- be prepared. The wrist bands work well.
