We visited the museum on a Sunday afternoon, it was quiet which was nice, allowing us to browse the collection peacefully. The collection had clocks from all-over the world which made it super impressive! Our tour guide, Joey, was very friendly and super knowledgeable. She taught us about the history of clocks and how they progressed and improved over the years.
Would recommend!

Was so special to visit as when I was a kid my mum volunteered at the museum before it moved to the basin. Have not been back now for 41 years! Loved seeing some of the old clocks that brought me such delight as a child. Fascinating place for all ages.

We visited the Claphams National Clock Museum in Whangarei, New Zealand for a fun family day out! From antique grandfather clocks to modern electronic timepieces, we had a close-up look at the museum's impressive collection. We explored the fascinating world of clocks with a scavenger hunt for a unique experience that combines both family fun and learning.

We visited the museum today and it was a great experience for us. First, some of the clocks had been explained to us by Joey (a very friendly staff member), which was very helpful and interesting. Then, we explored the rest by ourselves. We stayed for 45min (because they closed the museum at that time). You can spend more time, but less is also possible. Depends on how precisely you want to read everything.

Friendly staff and most interesting artefacts. A real journey back in time with all manner of beautiful items. Quiz sheet available for the young ones to find various important clocks. Guided tours occur regularly, video and information boards. Small gift shop. It's not huge but much to see and wonder at.

Our family, including grand-kids 6 and 8, really enjoyed this museum. The tour guide was very informative and interesting. Every kind of clock you can imagine can be found here.

I would not previously have expected to see such a wide array of time pieces of one sort or another in one place. A very good place with fascinating and interesting works of endeavor and I would suggest to others to check this place out too.
