Why are they going to take 6 years to build an alternative road to the Gorge and Saddle Road? Overused road and very twisty and hilly. Big trucks and trailers even on Good Friday and Easter Sunday so going 20-30km an hour behind 10 cars...More

Excellent place to visit during holidays. You may plan your visit while going to Napier. Camping, bush walking available here

Due the gorge road being closed this is the alternative route to Napier. This 20 minute detour takes you through the wind farm where there is an opportunity to stop and view. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful

This road can be stunning on a nice day, but it is currently the main road and has a lot of traffic going across it. So, just be careful and take it slowly.

although the drive up is a bit rough,the reward is worth it,you get to see the vistas and the windmills.when you reach the road up to the windmills,its an amzing view and you get to experience the full majest size of the windmills .
