Love driving along caves road and seeing all the winery and gourmet food places to stop in and try and buy the local produce

A 90km/h or 80km/h road winding through vineyards, fields and forests with various turn offs to the Indian Ocean. Its not a world class scenic drive, but certainly more pleasant than the bussell highway.

Mostly single lane driving with double lines, very scenic, beautiful forest and ideal for photographers. Pass many wineries and caves for stopping off and exploring. Beware of locals using the roads as may get impatient with sightseers. Make a stop at the Boranup Cafe for...More

Caves Road is almost a rite of passage for Western Australians. It is a stunningly beautiful drive, and takes you to many magical places in the South-West.

I am not sure why a road gets a mention, but find Kodak Korner in the Boranup forest and take a picture and soak in the majesty karri trees.

This was a nice natural attraction, wouldn’t recommend if you have bad knees... but four middle aged semi fit people and ten year old made it round ok!

An easy drive through a wine and cave region. There is a lot to do with many wineries, caves and mazes to stop at. But not a drivers' road, OK in a boring SUV hire car but not the road to take the Alfa out...More

Caves road seems to be the spine road of the area and leads you to all sorts of wineries, potteries. Obviously a car is needed but as you travel down this road you will see a varying type of forest and vegetation. Even Controlled burning...More
