Lake Cave is a stunning crystal wonderland and the only cave in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge with a permanent lake. It acts as a mirror of infinite reflections that is truly magical. The cave is renowned for the ‘Suspended Table’ – a five tonne column of calcite that hangs from the ceiling just a few centimetres above the lake. The precinct features impressive retail, interpretative and cafe facilities. Located 25 kilometres south of Margaret River.

Steph did a beyond fantastic job guiding us through this cave. We loved her energy. Walked away feeling incredibly educated and blown away by how beautiful this cave is. Definitely a must do.

Certainly got a workout going up and down the entrance stairs haha! Beautiful cave and had a great tour guide. Kids enjoyed it, if you have a toddler just bare in mind there are no hand rails/barriers from the water so keep a tight hold...More

Been to a few of the caves in WA and I feel this one is the most beautiful. I enjoyed the walk down the circular crater and it looks so unique to stand underground and look up at to see tall trees grown from the...More

Lots of steps, but a very beautiful cave. The lake is actually a very slow moving brook, but very tranquil providing great reflections for those interesting photographs. It is excellently preserved, with probably the best stalactite and stalagmite formations in the area. Not a huge...More

Although the 357 stairs down to the cave are not fun (worst going up then coming down) the pain was well worth it as my friend's and I throughly enjoyed the beauty of Lakes Cave. Our tour guide Richard was very informative and enthusiastic about...More

Dropped in with friends. Well worth the short trip from Margret River. It’s a wee bit of an expedition to get into the caves - 300 & something stairs - easy on the way in, but be ready to take your time on the way...More

A must see when in the Margaret river region. Magnificent to experience one of the caves. This one is great if you're keen to explore caves, but don't want to spend more than an hour exploring caves.

RaIn or shine, this exhibit is an interesting wonder of nature. Short, sharp and very picturesque. Our tour guide was cheery and quite knowledgeable with good interest in his geology and history.

Yes. There are lots of stairs to get down to the cave and then you climb them back up. There’s only one part of the stairs you go backwards so you don’t bang your head.

1.Temperature is quite constant all year round inside the cave. 2.The air quality is not bad compare with other "dry" cave as this one has water running through it. However the path going down into the cave is quite narrow... More
