At over a 100 years old the Town Hall is holding up well. We were wandering around admiring the sports hero gallery when the City historian started up a conversation. Fascinating little stories of the town & district and he showed us around the Council...More

We did a self guided tour of the town hall and saw some lovely old features of the building which houses the Visitor Centre. Creaky floor boards and all! Must check out the dress circle with its original red velvet seating still intact.

The Town Hall, and the time of the visit, depicted the 'Famous Sports' people of Kalgoorlie. At the same time, it contained the War Museum as well as a display on 100 years of rail in the Kalgoorlie area.

I was so impressed with the hall. It has so much history on the walls of this beautiful building . Over 125 years of history is on display here. The towns WW1 history is of particular note.

Entered the town hall from the visitor centre and spent an interesting while reading up on all the local history. They also have a display on the war and local sporting heros. Worth having a look at the dress circle of the theatre.
