This lookout gives you the option for a really good photo of the township - it really shows the panorama of the area and just how flat (and dug up) the whole area is. Definitely worth the visit!

Views from the top were great and fact/information signs worth reading. An important part of Kalgoorlie's history.

Stopped off as we were driving past. A nice view and lots of interesting information to be read on the panel about the water and lack thereof in the early days....

Being close to Kalgoorlie's centre, it's probably the best place for an overview of the town (especially at sunset), although the land's very flat. There's some info about the water pipes and pumps that were built to bring water to the reservoir.

Used to be a good place to visit when i passed through in 2006, but its unkept and lacks interaction, not worth the drive unless you wish to take some pics of the town from up high,

After a drive from perth it was a very nice place to walk around and watch the sunset. You get a great view of the Kalgoorlie region and also get an understanding of the importance of this site.

The lookout is only a short drive from the main town. Well worth visiting. After parking the car there is a short walk to the lookout. If you can't manage steps there's a ramp all tar sealed and safe for walkers, wheelchairs and strollers. Can...More

Water was even more important than gold during the gold rush years. CY O'Connor's vision was finally realised in 1903. Great interpretative signs here. Could walk from town and is well worth it.
