This Art Gallery is easy to find with pleasant and helpful staff members.. The exhibition I enjoyed was The Nightingale and the Rose which featured a selection of Del Kathryn Barton's artwork and a short film, The exhibition was creatively presented in a beautiful space.

No one can say Horsham does not have a busy cultural life. Looking at the city brochures in my hotel showed a very lively arts life and stirred me to visit the gallery. Initially, I thought my husband would like the war photography exhibition but...More

The gallery is housed in a beautifully refurbished art deco building, and the collection is not your normal regional gallery experience. This is largely because of the dominance of their main benefactor, Mack Jost, whose collection has both colonial and modernist works that I haven't...More

Excellent Ararat display of woven art showcasing some clever creations in nearly every imaginable material. Good effort for a regional gallery. Good wheelchair access and free entry make for very accessible cultural experience.

The love of the late Mack Jost is largely responsible for the brilliance, quality and enormity of the permanent collection at HRAG. Specialising in photography, HRAG houses a photographic suite of national significance, including artists such as Bill Henson. Other mediums feature beloved Australian artists...More

This is a small gallery we found by accident. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a most enjoyable experience. The gallery featured an exhibition of photographs, some of which were truly evocative. The permanent collection of art includes work by Frederick McCubbin,...More

The gallery is in a restored Art Deco building over two floors (now at 80 Wilson Street). There are excellent toilet facilities, a lift between floors and high quality areas to sit and admire the displays. The displays are both paintings and photos and therefore...More
