We cruised on the PS Canberra - one of the few authentic wood-fired pale steamers on the Murray. The one hour cruise was plenty for small children as they got bored looking at the river bank, but did enjoy "steering" the boat and watching the...More

We enjoyed our trip on the Pevensy despite the cool weather. It was great to see the cabins as they would have been in the paddlesteamers heyday. My husband enjoyed seeing the engine room. I love the sound of the paddlewheel.

Highly recommend! Whilst there are many options to cruise the river in Echuca you can do no better than do it on the PS Pevensey. To do so on an original paddle steamer see the engine working the accomodation room displays and the very helpful...More

The hour long journey was enough time for information/history of the area and a relaxing tour of the river. The children were able to go into the cabin and have a photo with the captain. I wish we had done a bit more research as...More

Our trip was just a one hour cruise on PS Pevensey, with Captain Graham. We were in Echuca just before Easter - and it was remarkably quiet. There were only a few of us on the boat which meant we had freedom to move around,...More

To experience firsthand an authentic paddle steamer, take the PS Pevensey. Not only do you cruise easily along the river, you can see rooms furnished as they used to be and imagine those long-ago times. Reasonably priced; highly recommend an hour's trip.

Took 2 x 12 year old boys who loved exploring the paddlesteamer. It was for 1 hour which was perfect duration for the boys. Children can have their photo taken steering the boat and receive a free certificate. Driver goes through lots of historical info...More

Hi Rocket & Ally, we have the 3 oldest boats and all are authentic the only problem is our cruises are one hour each. Perhaps check the Echuca Paddlesteamers website and see the boats and the cruise schedule.

Absolutely, the boat is an old working boat and kids get to explore the old living quarters and galley. They also get an activities pack and get to have a steer with the skipper and earn their 'First Mate Certificate'
