The Ballarat Civic Hall, has been closed since the 1990's and subject to much debate about its future. You can see the exterior, but not much more. A soup bus for the homeless serves basic free meals here in the evenings.

This place is currently under development and there isn't much to see. Don't bother making an effort.

It is still a pity that the council cant move forward. It is ugly and unkept. Only used for caravan info centre. Used on weeknights for Soup bus for Ballarat homeless.

This place should have been demolished years ago. A loud minority want to preserve this monstrosity for ridiculous nostalgia reasons e.g I met my wife there. It has no historical or architectural merit and should be flattened

There has been much conjecture about the future of this period building but one must pay some gratitude to the turnaround this building has made - It's gone from a squatters run down paradise to a thriving art haven where I've been able to take...More

What a wonderful hall, lots of potential. Our daughter made her debut in it. Lots of dances have also been held in it. Needs to be restored
