Enjoyable and fun; mediums-sized museum with something for most tastes. Interesting building and displays. Easy walk to city centre and river. Only went to museum and saved art gallery for another visit.

Great museum for a regional museum. Lots of interesting exhibits, there is also a planetarium which the kids enjoyed. Highly recommended.

A great collection, fantastic interactive area for kids, good cross section of natural and settler history. We spent two hours here and had to drag the kids out. The only disappointment was the unmentionable coffee from the cafe. Well worth visiting.
