Sometimes in life it is frustrating when you can work out what a place does just by looking at its name .... not to worry here! ... The Old Umbrella Shop sells umbrellas, both old and new.

Well, if it was a bit more of an Umbrella Shop it would have been more interesting. I couldn't really get to close and the service wasn't the best. I wasn't told anything about the umbrellas.

What a great old fasioned store. Lovely and friendly staff. A great range of tasmanian products. I am glad that I came back to do some shopping here.

I just love that the old shop has been retained and is under the due care of the National Trust. The ladies behind the counter were perfect for this job. They are knowledgeable, sociable and engaging, ready to tell and re-tell the history to all...More

Stopped to look at the window display and invited in to see their historic umbrella collection. These women know their umbrellas which is important in Tasmania where the weather can change with amazing frequency. Great range of umbrellas and fun to shop. My wife and...More

TheOld Umbrella Shop is definately worth a visit.Launceston has some interesting, old and charming shops. Another one worth seeing is Stewarts Jewelery shop in Charles Street, with the original etched and painted plate glass windows and the history written at the front. I find Launceston...More

Two lovely ladies made a visit to this old shoppe very enjoyable. It was like stepping back in time.......really nice. The prices were a little high, but it was a lovely place.

What a wonderful step back in time the woodwork the velvet lining is amazing. We were great by two lovely ladies I was a delight to visit and the old umbrellas were beautiful Highly Recommend people to visit
