Visited late afternoon so it was very peaceful and quiet. Lots of bird life and also saw a mob of kangaroos too. Clear paths to follow around the park. It looked like the park hasn't been there for too long, as the paths and a...More

Picturesque walk around the top of the crater is a must but be careful as the terrain can be quite steep at times. Comfortable walking shows a must. Also took a drive to the park at the bottom which would be ideal for families/picnics.

Have mentioned this in my green lake review, but a lovely little nature reserve that is still expanding hopefully getting more funding but certainly potential plus. A nice little walk

The entrance to the park is free, and the walk was a pleasant one. However, we didn’t see much wildlife except for some birds and tons of butterflies. Still, it was a nice way to spend an hour or so.

Overgrown by weeds, every viewing platform broken and fenced off, tree limbs across the paths, pond has all but dried up and smells bad what little wildlife I did see looked sickly and poor,I visited here 20 years ago and this place was beautiful. What happened?.

The entire lakes area is well worth a visit. Sadly Brownes Lake & Leg of Mutton lakes no longer have water in them but the drive around is well worth it. Very picturesque & lovely walks well worth doing.

As a conservation park it might be good however after spending about an hour there we saw nothing except for a few birds, this is not to say it is not worth visiting.

We popped in for half an hour before we left Mt. Gambier and we're not disappointed. We saw kangaroos, wallabies, and a beautiful array of bird life. Would love to have spent more time there! Beautiful location and a great spot to take the kids.

Part of the park surrounding the 'other' lake in Mount Gambier (boating and swimming lake in the crater on the other side of the road from the Blue Lake). Free entry for a nice stroll past water holes, gum trees, scrub, etc. In short, an...More
