Sadly, there aren't many historic sites in the Coolangatta area, but this lovely church is one of them and is worth a visit. It's just up the hill from the beach - an easy walk.

Lovely homely Church , friendly congregation , joined them for tea after Mass. Just such a shame to see such a lack of youth at the service

This church sits a block or so back from the water and is an older brick building more imposing than the others although not that spectacular or interesting

This is a friendly and welcoming parish and the music leader got everyone going! Beautifully located on the hill on Maclean St.

Well worth a visit to this very pretty church just a couple of streets from the Main Street in Coolangatta. It wasn't open when we visited on Tuesday but the building & gardens are well maintained.

This church has been here for a very long time. I use to attend it as a little girl. It's well maintained and always lovely to visit.

Went to Mass at 8:00 on Sunday morning. Not such a large congregation. Musicians led the singing and encouraged participation. For a holiday destination I would have expected to be made more welcome upon arrival. Also, no vigil mass in Coolangatta.

Just average local one. If you expect europian breathtaking welcome sight seeing, don't bother. It's more like local. I don't know why they put this place in here after all.

It's true. The church always in the past built on top of the highest point. They did here in coolangattta. At the end of the northern part of the town there is a long steep walk up to the church. Can't miss it - it...More

It should be an Old beautiful Church, however it is closed unless on Mass Days, so if visitors want to see the interior of this church, they have to visit it on any Mass Days. Sitting elegantly on a high ground, easy to recognize from...More

Hi Helen, I think you'd need to contact the church office and ask to look up the records. Try the contact details on their website: coolangatta-tugunparish. org. au. Good luck!
