Lovely secluded walk tucked away in town. It will supposedly link up to a walk to Laurieton, but we're waiting. Still a nice round trip that takes you to a main street, along a big bat colony, and many photo ops.

We decided to take a walk along a couple of sections of the Googik Heritage Trail. It is a great easy walking track that runs basically behind the industrial estate in Lake Road. It was lovely to see so many people riding their bikes or...More

Mainly gravel, there are various entrances to this track which finishes in a couple of different spots in the industrial area along Lake Road. Probably better for cyclists. I've used it a few times to get to the Peak Brew Lab so I can buy...More

Six of us photographers walked through here today and looked for things to photograph. It was very pleasant. You feel like you are out of town, except for the planes flying overhead. There were lots of flowers out, many insects and a few reptiles. It...More

Thoroughly enjoyed this easy walk. Flat, wide level path, and you pass through some subtly changing habitats. Paperbarks, banksias, wattles, native grass trees, wetland ... All lovely. Main issue is signage, particularly at the start of the track. We saw no road signage to direct...More

This is a bonus as it's suitable for people who have a bit of difficulty walking and to a degree, wheelchairs. Great track for exploring the surrounding bushland and wetland and is frequently used by bicycle riders as well.

But rough underfoot and no toilet stops...otherwise 5 out of 5. Nice level walk, and wetland sights too.

I try to tackle the track a few times each week on my Mountain bike. It's fairly level, so suits riders of all capabilities but is also a good work out if you push yourself. If you wish to walk there is a good variety...More

Pack your bikes or walking shoes this holiday so you can enjoy the Googik Heritage Trail. The main entrance is only one kilometre from the CBD on Lake Drive. The trail takes you along winding wide open wellmaintained paths through many different environments. You can...More

This a great trail that links the suburbs to the schools, university, hospital and industrial estate. It allows people to ride in safety off the road. It is also linked up to be able to go all the way into town centre and avoid roads....More
