Breakfast is probably not what they want to be known for but the service and food was so amazing that we had to leave a review. Open from 9am, which is when we went in, and it was an absolute treat. Can’t speak more highly of our experience, especially the service (Fri AM).

We had an absolutely fantastic time visiting Brokenwood Wines as part of Brendo’s Tours. James was our tour guide and his local knowledge and passion for making great wine was awesome! We enjoyed the tasting session as well as going down to the barrels and seeing the behind the scenes!

We opted for the wine tasting at this venue and at $25 pp it was one of the more expensive tastings I did.
Venue is very modern and upmarket.
Our female server was very passionate about her wines and you could tell that she loved her job. Furthermore she was very generous in her serving sizes and was open to add several other wines (at our request) to the tasting table.
A very enjoyable wine tasting experience.

Oliver was fantastic, looked after each party in our group but balanced everyone as a large group as well. Good recommendations, great personal interaction too.

A wonderful professional tasting experience of a selection of eight wines with matching canapés followed by a tour of the working facility to learn about wine making. James was our very knowledgeable and friendly host for our group of twelve. The journey included learning about each wine’s location, origins and classification and which foods groups they best pair with. Questions were welcomed and answered. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the two hour experience.

Been many times to Brokenwood and always had a great experience. Went in the middle of May 2022 with visiting friends (tourists) and unfortunately it just wasn’t the same as the past. I know things changed post-Covid, but they are really missing the mark here. I was quite embarrassed.
You can only do scheduled wine tastings, so you have to book on the hour. We were there for lunch and still had to make a booking for wine tasting. Went up to make the booking and saw two groups decide to leave and not wait.
The charge has increased to $25 per person. So I paid $125 for the 5 of us even though we were having lunch there. It is now redeemable if you spend $50 per person.
We finished our lunch and went over to wine tasting........there were 3 other people. So a whole 8 in the whole area (the last time I was there it was buzzing with 100 people dinning and wine tasting).
So Paid $125 to taste bloomin Cricket Pitch ($18 in Dan Murphys), but sold here for $25.
I realise the wineries have had it tough, but I don't think this is the way to do it.
I would avoid and try smaller wine makers.

The CRU terrace is child and puppy friendly. Elaine and her staff are friendly and accommodating although somewhat stretched with COVID impacting on staff rosters. The menu is good value and the portions are generous. The food is consistently good and the current releases of the house wines are available via glass or bottle.
This was our third visit and we will be back.

As a non-drinker attending a wine tasting with drinkers was still a great experience! As was my first visit to the Hunter Valley, we stopped at Brokenwood. Great pod set up and Eve was great hosting not only us but two other groups around us. I was intrigued watching and learning about the wines myself! Favourites of the day, Late Picked and for the sweet taste buds, Sticky Wicket.

Do non-tasters/designated drivers in the party have to pay the $25 tasting fee?
