We visited these garden during our recent stay in the area.

Cost was $32 for adults with seniors like myself charged $27. In my opinion price is a bit high for what you receive.

The gardens are lovely but we were a bit early for visiting to see all the flowers in bloom as many had only just been planted.

Overall a good experience.

The gardens are thoughtfully planned, and there are a number of points of interest. I'm sure that they would be stunning in full bloom. We spent an enjoyable hour and a half exploring, but these gardens aren't really comparable to other gardens we've visited in regional NSW, and the cafe was a let down.

Mega Creatures exhibit at Hunter Valley Gardens
Amazing life-like creatures scattered throughout the gardens grouped in sections, huge in size and even the skin made them feel real. Each creature was on a sensor which animated them along with real sounds. We took our granddaughter but we equally loved the displays. We had been to the gardens about 4yrs ago, so it was good to focus on the creatures, then have another look at the gardens. Apart from large dinosaurs, there were inspects scaled to 2-3 metres, where in real life they would be 50-100mm. You could view the display during the day or night. Well done to Hunter Gardens, thank you. Display ends 1 May.

The Hunter Valley Gardens was fantastic during the Easter break with awesome dinosaur display and Easter fun fair on site. They had an Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter Sunday great for the children.

All the gardens were immaculately displayed and you can see the attention to detail everywhere in the garden.

This is a gem place to visit for the whole family.

It was lovely to see lots themes and a special dinosaur bugs display on the day we went.

Few rides for the kids

Few food choices

Only negatives not much shade specially food area no shade at all and gift shops moved out of the gardens.

But besides that everything else was lovely enjoyable even a great little cafe and dining area.

Expensive. Overrated. It cost me less to go to zoo ! As a gardener there isn’t much to see. Do yourself a favour and skip it.

Uninspiring. Well maintained and peaceful. Wish there were more seasonal flowers in bloom. The dinosaur exhibition is great if you have kids.

The Gardens are a lot larger than I expected. Each of the themed gardens was beautifully cared for. We spent about 3 hours wandering through the Gardens. There is also a Walking with Dinosaurs exhibition on right now (April 2022) that was very well created.

The Terrace Cafe inside also offers simple and delicious meals, which was perfect for us when we took a break for lunch before continuing our exploration of the rest of the Gardens. Suitable for all ages.

The only downside is there probably aren't enough benches for resting spread evenly around the property (most of them are around the Rose Garden right in the centre of the property).
