Great place (and busy) to take a stroll- enjoy the sea air, the local birdlife and the sound of crashing waves. Walk is concrete and flat- accessible to all.

On a recent visit to Newcastle we made the walk along Nobbys Head and the breakwall which takes visitors out to the ocean. It can get very windy and quite fierce waves the further out one walks however the view across the coast and Newcastle harbour makes it worth doing. Many people use this walk for their exercise regime or for taking their dogs out.

There are some great walks to be enjoyed along the Newcastle foreshore, and one of these is from HoneySuckle to Nobbys Head & Beach. Total walk time about 45-60 minutes in each direction. Plenty of action on the waterway with tug boats & coal ships arriving/leaving & if you're lucky you'll see seals & maybe a whale.

A lovely walk on a sunny day with the westerly wind putting sand in our pocket. Grandson, aged 9, and I dowcussed whether there were any gemstones to be found on the breakwater.

Always a gorgeous walk but especially grand on a sunny day. Caught a ferry later the same day to view it, and the lovely city of Newcastle, from the shipwreck walk (Stockton). The Nobby's walk is flat - making it easily navigable by wheelchair, bike, scooter, pram or foot.

A beautiful, family orientated, all-ages place for an afternoon stroll. Very scenic and picturesque. The path along Macquarie Pier is flat and easy to access.

We couldn't believe how many people were here on a workday, it is obviously a very popular destination. It was a sunny day which makes a difference but I must say this was such an attractive spot, whether you wanted to visit the beach or walk or ride on the path. the views from everywhere were spectacular and an added bonus for us was watching the ships come in or go out.

Go where the locals go for a stroll, exercise or just admire the scenery. Great walk on a sunny day & watch the huge bulk carriers heading in/out of the harbour. Note the upper section is only open weekends or when a cruise ship visits.

It was wet and windy so there weren't many people out - perfect chance to enjoy an amazing location.
