It's a great record of how Newcastle life was for these ladies who were spinsters living in this home. The collection of clothes was cute and interesting. The place is a little bit musty as you would expect. The volunteers are passionate and delightful.

Looks like a hoarder’s house that’s been bravely and intelligently edited! Today it displays glimpses of two generations’ lives over a span of 90 years - intriguing.

What a great story! Two sisters with a fascinating history, who passed their lovely childhood home onto the National Trust so we can all enjoy marvelling at how they lived over the century.

How lively it us to see an historic house in Newcastle preserved and open yo the public. The home was very nicely presented with appropriate furniture and nick nacks. The volunteers were very helpful, it wouldn't be open with out them.
