Always interesting - sometimes confronting but well worth a visit. Set in the old police station atmosphere abounds.

A truly fascinating part of Newcastle's history, the lock up has a number of immaculately kept former prison rooms. The exhibitions held there are also worth going for alone.

The Lock-Up has revolving exhibits and are interesting as they relate to the culture, history, or a current topic. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys are and the venue itself is engaging as it served a lockup.
